Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS), organized a four-week training on “Basic IT Skills” for sixteen (16) Data Entry Operators of the National Assembly Secretariat from 18th July to 12th August, 2022 at PIPS Campus Islamabad. The programme commenced on 18th July, 2022, at the Institute, with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Mr. Waqas Ahmad Qureshi, Director Parliamentary Development Programme (PDP) Wing, in his welcoming note, highlighted that the training has especially been designed for the Data Entry Operators comprising MS office, operating systems, Network security and Web administration.
During the first two weeks, Mr. Asif Zamir, Director IT, PIPS, covered theoretical and practicum sessions on Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access). Third week comprised of Operating system by Mr. Zahid Ashraf, Assistant Director IT, PIPS, Web Administration by Mr. Muhammad Nazir Khan, Director General IT, PIPS and Network Administration by the Mr. Muhammad Zahoor, Deputy Director IT, PIPS. Mr. Asif Zamir facilitated sessions on Network Security in the last week.
The training programme concluded on 12th August, 2022 and participants were awarded certificate by the Worthy Executive Director, PIPS, Mr. Muhammad Anwar. In his closing remarks, Mr. Anwar congratulated the participants and also appreciated the IT and Parliamentary Development Programme (PDP) wings for conducting this four week training programme.
